Decentralized Platform
BitClout is built on blockchain technology, which means it is decentralized, and not controlled by a single entity. This allows for greater freedom and resistance to censorship.
Creator Monetization
Content creators on BitClout can earn money directly from their followers and fans through the sale of their creator coins, providing a new revenue stream.
Increased Engagement
As users have a financial stake in the influencers and content creators they support, there is a possibility of increased engagement and loyalty from followers.
Transparency
The blockchain-based nature of BitClout ensures transparent transactions and ownership records for all coins and profiles.
Innovation in Social Media
BitClout offers a new model for social media where financial incentives are aligned with content creation and engagement.
BitClout is a new decentralized social network that lets you speculate on (the worth of) people and posts with real money. It's built from the ground up as its own custom blockchain. Its architecture is similar to Bitcoin's, except that it supports complex social network models like posts, profiles, follows, speculation features, and much more at a significantly higher throughput and scale. Like Bitcoin, BitClout... - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
This is already a thing, it's an interesting niche concept, but the biggest downfall IMO is you can never delete anything since the blockchain is public and tracks all changes. https://bitclout.com/. Source: over 2 years ago
Is this different than BitClout? https://bitclout.com/. Source: almost 3 years ago
You can't sell on the bitclout.com node. Also, there is no "official" site. To the network, all nodes are equal, whether they are old or new: the DeSo foundation also doesn't call any node "official"- though the node they personally maintain is node.deso.org. You can set up your own node and sell for 10$ for one $DeSo (formerly called 1 $Clout) if you wanted or at 10000$ for a Deso if you wanted. You can see a... Source: almost 3 years ago
A lot of nodes do show the price below that as well- for instance diamondapp, which more people actually use than bitclout.com: https://imgur.com/a/iDhOOKS. Source: almost 3 years ago
There is an active community, but not on Reddit. Check these to see what’s happening. - https://bitclout.com - https://diamondapp.com - https://nftz.zone (v2 launch very soon). Source: almost 3 years ago
Bitclout.com or diamondapp.com or supernova.app or NTFz.zone or tunel.app (es) are some of my favorite nodes to access this Web3 platform. I hope to see millions of you amazing redditors over on DeSo soon. Same bat sign, same bat channel :). Source: about 3 years ago
I like my Web3 to be DAO based and have easy to code smart services instead of complicated solidity smart contracts...so I like DeSo.org, $DESO, and it's many wonderful access nodes like bitclout.com, desocialworld.com, NFTz.zone and supernova.app. Source: about 3 years ago
$DeSo is listed on the the Coinbase exchange, so you can use their wallet. You can also hold it directly on DeSo - they have an integrated wallet built in - you can access that on bitclout.com or diamondapp.com. Source: about 3 years ago
BitClout (https://bitclout.com/) was the first I saw with a UX that made getting your own coin as easy as one would expect. There are probably many more. - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
Here's the thing- bitclout.com was meant to be a private beta, but mistakenly got revealed to the public, which is why people got stuck in there. Source: about 3 years ago
Bitclout is a unique approach to being a fan of somebody. The project tries to directly connect your investments with a celebrity’s behavior. If they do good, their coin pumps in price, if they get embroiled in controversy, then it slumps down. Source: about 3 years ago
Besides posting, investing in creator coins and tipping diamonds, you can mint NFTs. For example, on nftz.zone you can login with your DeSo identity and mint NFTs directly to the blockchain. On bitclout.com you can make a post and then afterwards mint it as an NFT. All these NFTs will show up on different nodes. Source: about 3 years ago
You can sell $deso back to USD on ascendex exchange (blockchain . Com is currently down rn). Go to bitclout.com and find the tab that says “send deso”. From there you can send to a $deso public exchange address and sell to crypto/usd. Source: about 3 years ago
Its 100% real . No idea why it is not loading for you really. Try bitclout.com that too runs on deso. Source: about 3 years ago

BitClout (CLOUT) is a blockchain-based social media project that “mixes speculation and social media.” People make short posts that show up in a cultivated timeline, much like Twitter. Each account on the platform has a Creator Coin, a coin that you can buy or sell that works on a yield curve to determine its value. Creators can set a percentage of their coin to keep from all transactions. The goal of BitClout... Source: over 3 years ago

This and the last thing he promoted, that website where creators get tokens and people can buy into them, also a scam. I believe it was called http://bitclout.com. Source: over 3 years ago
I think this is a really cool idea but I don't have the ability to provide much of a critique. The critical issues mostly seem to be about financial incentives and governmental cooperation, not the software itself. I think the paper should link to existing examples and research of this kind of deal. I know there have been people, and maybe platforms even, that provide personal equity. I think its typically to fund... - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago
