  • Is there any place to get free bibles
I just use https://bible.com . They have all the versions and they're all within the app and a website. :). Source: 5 months ago
  • How do I deal with deep-seated anger at God connected to not understanding why He allows life in this world to be so painful?
To me it was helpful to read couple of these plans on youversion / bible.com https://www.bible.com/search/plans?query=Why%20Do%20Bad%20Things%20Happen%20To%20Good%20People. Source: 10 months ago

The English Standard Version that I got from bible.com used perfect, so that's what I used and what will be recognizable to most people. I have no idea what the original Greek word is and if the translation into either English or Hebrew is erroneous. Source: 12 months ago

  • “The meek shall inherit the earth”
Let me recommend the Book "Greek for the Rest of Us" by William Mounce (one of the ESV translators). It won't lead you to being able to flat read entire Greek texts, but it will enable you to use the tools available to get into the original Greek (I used this book when going through seminary for my MA-Theo degree). There are also video and audio files on the internet of Mounce going over Greek language tools at... Source: 5 months ago
