I just use https://bible.com . They have all the versions and they're all within the app and a website. :). Source: 5 months ago
To me it was helpful to read couple of these plans on youversion / bible.com https://www.bible.com/search/plans?query=Why%20Do%20Bad%20Things%20Happen%20To%20Good%20People. Source: 10 months ago
This is something I saw in another post but it’s still interesting: go to bible.com (or any website that hosts the Bible). Copy the Genesis, and run it through ZeroGPT. Did God use AI to write it or it was AI that wrote it? Also, since this is pre-2021 material, you might also want to try something newer like a book that’s been published about a year ago and run it through that program. This would work, at least... The community note source is "The Bible" at bible.com I have to think it's inherently the most hilarious. Source: 11 months ago
Since I don't read the original Greek, I'm working off translations. The English Standard Version that I got from bible.com used perfect, so that's what I used and what will be recognizable to most people. I have no idea what the original Greek word is and if the translation into either English or Hebrew is erroneous. Source: 12 months ago
You can easily get free parallel text with audio for most major languages - try bible.com or perhaps biblegateway.com, among many others. Source: 12 months ago
Thanks. I use bible.com and it has an audio feature so I usually read along to it. I think this does help but I still lose track sometimes, I feel like if I had just the audio I might get too distracted. To be honest there aren't many non distractive tasks to me. Source: about 1 year ago
You can go online to bible.com and read several for yourself and see which one suits you best. Here's a list of translations I recommend trying out... Source: about 1 year ago
The passage is below from bible.com NSRV version Matthew 8: 18-22. Source: about 1 year ago
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 NASB1995 Https://bible.com. If you just want to read it online, bible.com. You can pick a translation and go. Source: over 1 year ago
My favorite is the knee jerk "that's taken out of context" reactions. They can NEVER tell me what the context is. I keep reading and reading to them from bible.com and it's all "OUT OF CONTEXT". Source: over 1 year ago
Bible.com has a ton of translations, and audio. You can even install it on your mobile phone. Source: over 1 year ago
Also, reading the source directly is always better. Use quran.com (use saheeh international translation) and sunnah.com for hadiths. Use bible.com for christianity. Source: over 1 year ago
After some testing, as I also have a verizon number, I found anything with bible.com in my text message then blocks that entire text from reaching their phone. On my google voice account, it shows that it was sent. ALL other URLs I send work just fine. I have tried this with 5 other verizon numbers trying to send bible.com from my google account and they never receive the text. Source: over 1 year ago
I found these verses via Fun_in_Space's link, but did not find it prudent to take a site called "evilbible" at face value when discussing the bible. My quotes are taken from the same verses from bible.com, English language (obviously), New International Version. Source: over 1 year ago
Besides that, https://bible.com and https://bible.oremus.org still have the non-updated NRSV online. Source: over 1 year ago
Is bible.com seriously your best source about Allah being Hubal? When the prophet smashed the idols in the Kaaba, it was all of them, including Hubal's. Source: over 1 year ago
I came across a website called YouVersion (bible.com) that offers "Plans," which are free Bible studies on a certain topic. They have a "Plan" that involves study of the notes Elvis wrote in the book of Psalms in his personal Bible. The photos of the Bible pages are provided by the Museum of the Bible and the Bible and the handwriting have been authenticated as Elvis'. This is the link for the plan: ... I'd personally recommend bible.com and using that to see what translation fits you. I'd also highly recommend keeping blueletterbible.com bookmarked. That is very handy for exploring a word or verse you may be having questions about. A lot of times seeing the etymology of a word and where else it was used in scripture really helps with understanding. Source: almost 2 years ago
Hi there! The devotionals I've been doing are actually from bible.com. I'll have to give some of your recommendations a try :). Source: almost 2 years ago
