Well, that's why I asked if you could sell it for more than you owe on it. You can try to sell the car private party. You'd need to look up what the car should be worth to know what to try to sell it for, though. You could try sites like carvana.com, or vroom.com, or sites like that. They'd make an offer. Sounds good. Another thing that has worked well for me twice in the past year when we bought new cars is to go to carmax.com or take it in to get a quote. From talking to dozens of Mazda and Honda dealers in the past year consistently I'd hear "oh, we rarely can beat Carmax offers".
