  • WordPress Core to start using SQLite Database
I really wish Wordpress would ditch the shared-hosting first deployment model and grow up a bit. Thankfully https://roots.io/bedrock/ exists to bridge the gap if you're absolutely forced to use WP. - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
  • How do you create WordPress websites for your clients?
There are ready-made boilerplates like Bedrock and Sword but, at an architectural level, I'm not a fan of any I've seen. Source: 12 months ago
  • Modern Plugin Boilerplate - GIT + PHP8 + Composer
Is this any good? https://roots.io/bedrock/ for a plugin? Source: 12 months ago
  • ManageWP - Yes or no?
As I only really use it for keeping stuff up to date, I'm looking at using Roots Bedrock for my next project. I'll then be keeping everything up to date via composer. Source: over 1 year ago
  • WordPlate: WordPress on Composer with sensible defaults
What advantages does WordPlate have over Bedrock[1], some of whose packages WordPlate also uses? [1] https://roots.io/bedrock/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago

  • List of <things> (I want restaurants, but why limit ourselves?)
u/Lianad311 is mostly right, but as u/mds1992 said, it's only part of the equation. If you aren't a dev, you'll also need tools that can load the CPT content and display it - Crocoblock have a range of products that do that - I believe this one https://crocoblock.com/plugins/jetengine/ will do that you're after, though they only work with Elementor-based sites. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Using Wordpress for Backend?
In my opinion if you want to stick with WordPress as your backend - the must have plugin is JetEngine and it's REST API functionality 👍. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Capture Info for Multiple Patients During Checkout
JetEngine with JetBooking - this solution will cover all your actual and future needs. JetEngine itself is unbelievable beast when it comes to work with any kind of dynamic data - imagination is your only limit. With JetBooking I have built few websites - it covers all your needs, including Woocommerce integration and syncing calendars. Here you have crocoblock page focused on solution you need - Booking Solutions. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Need help with this: Dynamic category list with dynamic posts under each heading. Essentially, I want to build a page that dynamically lists all categories as headings and then displays the posts in each category underneath the appropriate heading.
For all of my dynamic sites I use JETengine by Crocoblock. It is possible and I have done it before in a similar scenario. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Wondering if WP is the right tool for a project I'm starting
Take a look to ToolsetToolset or JetEngine. Source: almost 2 years ago
