Babel VS Luminus

Some of the most popular JavaScript linting tools are ESLint, JSHint, JSLint and JSCS. We're going to be using ESLint. It’s very flexible, easy to use and has the best ES6 support, which will be helpful if we introduce more modern JavaScript (that will be transpiled for older browsers using https://babeljs.io/). This simply extends the existing build process that many front-end frameworks have. After Babel's done with its transpilation, it merely executes code to compile your initial screen into static HTML and CSS. Https://luminusweb.com/ has been used over the years to generate sane starting point apps. It is well worth checking out. The https://luminusweb.com/docs/profiles.html page gives a pretty good hint at the different library options available for the various different functions of a framework. so even if you are building your own it is a decent reference. The cljs stack I hear about a lot (and use) is ShadowCLJS with reagent (https://reagent-project.github.io/) and re-frame (https://day8.github.io/re-frame/). ShadowCLJS is more of a build tool, but is really well documented and easy to use. Reagent is basically react but a simpler API, and re-frame is a layer on top of that provides data subscriptions and event-handlers to manage app state.
