  I always consult an attorney in any situation that remotely warrants it. I go on a referral site like avvo.com (think that's it) and buy a cheap, quick consult (like 20 or 30 bucks). I pick the attorney's brain, get all my concerns out. In your case, I would try to find out what I could say to threaten him back, I mean a legal threat of course, or else I'd try to find out specific legal language that I could use...   We found ours on avvo.com, there's a ton of reviews on there and some attys are absolutely slaughtered in the reviews so you have a pretty good indication the site is legitimate, lol. I might be considering hiring part-time editors on freelancer.com, but since they'd be independent contractors, they'd be just an expense to me. They'd be responsible for their own taxes.   I worked on freelancer.com for 3 months doing mostly side gigs. WIth the payment, it wasn't much of an issue for me. The first payment indeed, it was more "special", as in, it took 2 months until I got the money in my account. But any other payment after that, were processed within days (at worst).   I once posted on reddit my thoughts on freelancer.com and I assume, that it does not have a high reputation among other redditors. Someone who hired freelancers on that very site said, that clearing a payment is very difficult on that site, which I could understand. So do you have also faced other problems on that side?
