This makes it easier for people to plan when to be in the office and to see when their friends and colleagues are working.

Completely agree with the other commentator here—AI apps are lame. Disagree with the article though as I think there are use cases where calling ChatGPT is more than enough. What I did was build an simple old-school type app that aims to be solid and useful, and then add AI to give the user nice features on top of it. I built https://team-today.com with a friend about 4 years ago and have been working on it full-time for the past 6 months. I tried to get funding but never really got there and we've just managed to grind it out to a point where we have enough revenue to pay ourselves. I built https://team-today.com in a lock down as a way for my remote team to see when people are on holiday, going to site, or wfh. Since then it’s grown to include other features like desk booking and PTO approvals.
