I have a few recommendations based on your concerns. Find a VTT that fits your playstyle. Let the players keep their own character sheets. Have everyone roll real dice. Only use a VTT for sharing maps and placing tokens. owlbear.rodeo or astraltabletop.com have clean, simple interfaces. Astral Tabletop https://astraltabletop.com currently has my attention. A free account is somewhat limited, and I can imagine you may need to only have uploaded whatever assets you need for the next session due to space limitations, but it's easier to use and way more pretty than anything else I've tried. I recently moved my website to squarespace and have added several text boxes with links to other pages on the site. However after clicking save and then testing the links, they always resolve back to squarespace.com. Upon reviewing the links they have been converted back to squarespace. Any advice?
