I have the Star Adventurer Tripod and can't fault it, especially for the price. Yes you'll want an intervalometer to do exposures of more than 30 seconds on a Canon or you could hook it up to a laptop and use something like APT. Https://astrophotography.app/. Source: over 2 years ago

Take breaks every 20-30 mins. You can use any app to remind you of breaks. I personally used Strechly when I was on Windows, it is a great app for this purpose. On Linux, I use Safe Eyes, same concept, just some UI changes, and more features. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
