Siri is not where it needs to be because Apple refuses to mine user data to enrich it. They also are very hesitant to allow researchers to publish their breakthroughs which makes recruitment very hard. Ive done a number of these sets ups and there should be software to break up the comp for you. The workflow ive used the past is make one 4k comp and then send it thru https://madmapper.com or similar. If you HAVE to do it the way you describe check out render region of interest.
