  • How to setup Deep Links for Android applications
Well, we could have added an intent filter for https://amazon.com/, but we obviously do not own this domain, and it would be really weird, and a major safety hazard, if the system would use our app to handle the link that points to the amazon.com domain. - Source: dev.to / 13 days ago
  • Need a good decaf and regular tea in the US?
The voltage of mains electricity in the USA is half that of the UK, which effectively caps the power of appliances (at least those not plugged into a separate high voltage circuit). Search for fast boil kettles on amazon.co.uk and you'll get a range of 3000W options to choose from, search for the same on amazon.com and you'll return 1500W results. Source: 6 months ago
  • Just a bit of a rant but what the fuck?? I was hoping for a price drop bit instead it sky rocket? Im such an idiot i couldve bougth it at 251 but instead was waiting for it to drop and this shit happens FML why why why why

  • Where are the best/cheapest places to shop?
I do amazon.com and .ca (I mostly only buy if it's shipped & sold by amazon or atmost shipped by so I can track/refund easier) as well as hlj but shipping and handling usually ends up costing more than the kits I'm buying lol... Source: 7 months ago
  • What the Google overlords don't want you to see
I mean, if you try to search for something simple like "buy flashlight", you get like 15 amazon.com results on the first page. So if you're trying to find a quality product from a company that specializes in making just that particular thing, so you can avoid all the Chinese sellers on amazon, you sometimes can't. Ever since I've learned about how shitty the work conditions were at amazon, I have tried to avoid... Source: 6 months ago

  • Self-hosted email is the hardest it's ever been, but also the easiest
Another solution to this problem is relaying through services which will do the heavy lifting for you (this was been discussed in the original thread, here and in the article I wrote). So far people have suggested - ImprovMX (https://improvmx.com) - Mailgun (https://mailgun.com) As any others come in I will update this comment (until I can't, anyway) and the article as a reference. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
  • Anyone else getting bombarded with invoice spam emails? I’m using a custom domain. These have been relentless for months.
Sure. I have an account with mailgun, though I have heard good things about sendgrid as well. It costs me $35/mo, but I use the account as part of the management of a phpbb forum I host, but I have a patreon for that that covers the expenses. If I didn't have that patreon, I would have to think pretty hard about how to proceed. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • SWBC wants to spoof emails in our domain to our customers, and wants us to add them to our SPF records
As you can see, "mailgun.com" the "leading email delivery service for companies around the world" is included in their SPF despite not being them, precisely so they can spoof being Edward Jones, presumably in some marketing effort:. Source: about 2 years ago
