Odysee is a truly a big competitor of YouTube. No annoying ads and smooth flow of videos is a big plus of this platform. Highly recommended!!
Based on our record, Odysee seems to be a lot more popular than Amazon Elastic Transcoder. While we know about 477 links to Odysee, we've tracked only 7 mentions of Amazon Elastic Transcoder. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Alternatively, if your Internet connection can handle it, you could upload your videos to a cloud service that processes them for you. For example, Amazon's AWS has a transcoding service called Elastic, which charges 3 cents per minute of video (half of that if it's lower than 720p). Might be worth the reduced time and effort for business use. Source: almost 2 years ago
If you're looking for an AWS specific solution, check out Amazon Elastic Transcoder. I think it'll do what you want with a pipeline and you can do it serverless. Source: over 2 years ago
If you use https://aws.amazon.com/elastictranscoder/ then you don’t need a computer, it’s a managed service, get your files to s3 somehow and thats it. There are some other services from other providers that can do the same too, I strongly encourage to look into that, unless you have specific encoding specs that you can’t do somewhere. However compressing on the server is the better option in case you want to generate gifs, thumbnails, and different sizes and formats of the video. A lot of big video streaming companies will use something like Amazons media convert. Source: over 3 years ago
This is how I'd do it, but instead of using EC2 for step 5 I'd look into Elastic Transcoder. Source: over 3 years ago
Honestly, not enough USAID was cut. Most of it will move to the State Department. USAID is used to hide clandestine CIA operatives that destabilize states. Corbett covered it years ago: https://odysee.com/@corbettreport:0/flashback-usaid:7 It's fascinates me that people who have never heard of USAID, who are completely unfamiliar with how many left-wing groups have protested it over the decades, are suddenly... - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
> Let me say this more clearly: what is happening right now, in America, in real time, is a coup. > This is an information war and this is what a coup now looks like. This guy is a moron. I can't read past here because you can't take anything seriously past this opening bullshit. A democratically elected president cutting spending is now a Coup? No idiot. It is on https://odysee.com/, search for "Chainalysis" and you will find it, video is about 40 mins. I can't link directly because Chainalysis are going nuts with the take downs of any mention of the video. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
Fixes for my comment: 1) Link [2] is not correct (I copy-pasted wrong link); I planned to give a link to reuploaded video. 2) Reuploaded video was removed with a whole channel, see https://www.reddit.com/r/LinusTechTips/comments/1fbowrb/youtube_terminates_channel_for_reuploading_ltt/ ; see reuploaded original video with original description at... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
The web is evolving, and Web3 technologies are revolutionizing traditional industries, including video streaming. Platforms like Odysee are leading the charge, offering decentralized alternatives to YouTube and Rumble. Similarly, unlike legacy providers like Google Drive and Dropbox, Sia is transforming data storage, providing a privacy-focused and user-centric approach. - Source: dev.to / 9 months ago
