It is logically structured, you can get through its documentation relatively easily, you have a great variety of tools and services to choose from [from AWS itself and from third-party developers in their marketplace]. There is a learning curve, there is quite a lot of it, but it is still way easier than some other platforms. I've used and abused AWS and EC2 specifically and for me it is the best.

Originally I wanted to host it on a dedicated machine (Lenovo M710q Tiny PC). It's the model with a i3-7100t and I know it's more than capable of running the server. Though safety is what came to mind immediately. DDoS protection, hackers, whatever else. I use name.com for domains and purchase their web Email service for like $5 per month on domains that need an email. I think it is $5 per email address on a domain, but I can't recall. It's simple and affordable. Source: almost 2 years ago
