I have to disagree. I used XML-RPC exactly twice, but it proved to be a quick solution to nasty integration problems and we were very happy with it. Weeks ago when tutanota became tuta I had same issues...wouldnt allow me log in. I clicked links provided by tuta to "migrate" data...never worked. Few days later...i was able to log in at https://mail.tutanota.com/login and continued until today, when my credentials were not "valid" anymore so tried at tuta.com and same thing.
