  • What NEW singers and bands make Arena AOR music?
So when I go to allmusic.com and see the artists "followed by" Rick Springfield, I get. Source: 11 months ago
  • Unfindable Acetate?!; Bill Nelson Trio and Quartet (Smort Low-Fi Records) Any advice/info appreciated!
I have checked popsike.com, discogs.com, allmusic.com, wiki, and google. Source: 12 months ago
  • [TOMT][song][early 2000s?] I know the song, but I can't figure out who the band is
You're right, the singer does sound a bit like the singer in my mystery "Hustlin'" song. However, on allmusic.com, it says that Flash Mob Jazz formed in 2012 when the members were "studying jazz at university in London." If this singer was university-aged in 2012, he would have been too young to be the singer on "Hustlin'." While I don't know how old the song is, I do know that I downloaded it sometime in 2004 or... • Can anyone recommend any other good sites like: "sound better" to find mastering engineers?
Yeah, go to allmusic.com and look for mastering engineers for artists you like. Most big engineers offer indie prices. Hope this helps! Source: about 1 year ago
  • Good Atum reviews continue!!!
I might doubt how aunthetic the review is but it's 4 stars from allmusic.com! I'll take it! Source: about 1 year ago

  • Show HN: Mapping almost every law, regulation and case in Australia
It is really cool and useful. Interesting that you were able to gather enough data from users to make it work. I guess it was much less useful in the beginning? I thought of making something similar with data from https://musicbrainz.org/. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
  • apostrophes ’ vs '
What do you use to tag your music? I imagine if you use a consistent piece of software (mp3tag, musicbrainz picard), they're going to do it the same way. Or for example, maybe musicbrainz.org allows people to enter metadata in their database in UTF-8, so it's possible you might get different answers from there even though you're using a standard piece of software. I imagine something like picard could use a search... Source: 6 months ago
  • HD Sour Album Cover?
The MusicBrainz database usually has hq versions of most covers. Source: 11 months ago
  • Music Streaming Server that works with folders ?
When it comes to MusicBrainzPicard, it pulls data directly from https://musicbrainz.org/. If you are finding music you have that isn't listed in the database, you could help out by contributing to the database so that everyone gets access to that music. Source: 11 months ago
  • Where’s everyone going for the protest? Low key sweating because Reddit is my fav Kpop space.
While this doesn't help with replacing the discussion you get on reddit, might I suggest people spend some time contributing to their favourite artists on https://musicbrainz.org/ ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musicbrainz )? Many services & apps use MusicBrainz data, so you could help your favourites by making sure the information for their entries on MusicBrainz is as complete and accurate as possible!
