It seems like, you might have more luck with books than with trying to piece things together from bits and pieces on websites - I possibly don't know any books about Sumerian mythology, sorry, but searching your local library or alibris.com (because Amazon are crooks) might get you something that'll give you a general idea of what archaeologists know about Sumer and its mythology, and give you somewhere to start... For more routine work that isn't as deep but is still cognitively demanding, I usually stay at my desk and put on a post-rock playlist and https://mynoise.net/ on top of it (I like Irish coast), so loud that any other noise gets blocked out. Spotify needs to license https://mynoise.net and include their dozens of soundscapes into the Spotify client. The captured audio soundscapes are high quality, engineered, mixable audio from many relaxing and peaceful natural and artificial environments.
