It seems like, you might have more luck with books than with trying to piece things together from bits and pieces on websites - I possibly don't know any books about Sumerian mythology, sorry, but searching your local library or alibris.com (because Amazon are crooks) might get you something that'll give you a general idea of what archaeologists know about Sumer and its mythology, and give you somewhere to start... Now, there is a bit of a twist to this read. While all 4 of these short stories are available on gutenberg.org, they are not always printed as a single collection of short stories. In fact, if you search online for The Death of Ivan Ilych and Other Stories, then the table of contents may list a completely different set of "other stories." I'd like to get the Leroux novel in the original French (I know it's on gutenberg.org, which is great but I'd like a paper one too), but there are so many editions out there, many of which are either self-published by randos or are in simplified French.
