On aircrack-ng.org they say most of Intel wireless adapters do the job.when I type iwconfig in Kali's terminal I got info about lo, ethernet (eth0) and not about wlan0, altough I am not sure if this is not caused by the fact that I use it on VMware. Source: about 2 years ago
Is this throughput, or do you pay for Internet 500-700Mbps service? Do you live in an area close to neighbors? I would start with getting a Wifi Analyzer and run it on a laptop or desktop with Wifi and manually set a non-congested channel for your AP.
