Easy, block them. AdBlocker Ultimate seems to be the best AdBlocker extension I've found for Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome and it seems to be even better than Edge's built-in AdBlocker. Unfortunately, however, it's sometimes nearly impossible to block these types of Adware since doing so might be considered as a 'click' and cause another unwanted popup to happen. I know you found what you're looking for but.. I would recommend doing a third party malware scan with someone like sucuri.net.
