If you're looking for a rough "canon" of English poets I created a list years ago for online-literature.com called "The 100 Greatest English Language Poets" that you can still easily find by searching the title on Google. I had Blake at #7 but he's probably my personal #2 (with Milton being #1). Whom you should read first and in what order isn't an easy question. I often recommend Yeats (whom I have ranked #4)...
