  • I made a customisable lava shader effect using a Voronoi function as a base in Shader Graph
Voronoi diagrams are a great basis for organic shapes in computer graphics, including lava with chunks of rock. Shader Graph's built-in Voronoi node doesn't provide enough information about the edges between cell 'regions', so I made my own based on code by Inigo Quilez, then made it possible to customise the shape of the cells and animate them over time. • Favorite Building Store?
Well you could get textures on sites like ambientcg.com. They have a seperate AO texture. You'll have to use the roughness as a specular or make your own. Just invert the colours of the roughness at the most basic. Use the normal GL file too. Source: 12 months ago

  • What do you think? How can i make this more realistic looking?
Increase the bevels all around, they are abit small and it makes everything look too sharp, also add some imperfections like scratches, spots where roughness is more than others, maybe dust, and of course fingerprints, you can do it all on blender with some simple online textures and a little shader nodes, here’s a website with good textures with a license for person and commercial uses - https://ambientcg.com/.
