• Parachute on falling plane saves man's life

  I'm not an expert on planes but I got to watch a really neat presentation and tour a facility for Cirrus airplanes which use parachutes like in the video. • Damn that looked expensive

  This is a Cirrus aircraft. Cirrus is the only plane on the market with an emergency parachute. Each parachute needs to be repacked every ten years regardless of usage and a repacking costs about $30k. The item seen falling is the hatch which was ejected to release the parachute. • Make flying safer, on planes, helicopters and passenger drones, install 50 to a few hundred large airbags on the outside that fill with helium if they're going to crash and 2 or 3 parachutes to slow it down more.

  Just last week two planes hit midair, and one had a parachute system. The other landed safely, but wow did it have some damage!
