Apple music will do up to 192khz 24bit on iPhone and the interface is pretty nice, you can listen at spotify quality (320kbps?) on pc with Cinder which also has a pretty good interface. Source: 12 months ago

Just like what the title said, I'm a Linux user. I love Apple Music and just migrated from Spotify recently. I love Apple Music on my phone because it provides me with lossless and Hi-Res lossless audio quality. Unfortunately, it's a different story on my Linux laptop. I use Kubuntu 22.10 and Linux Mint 21.1 and can access Apple Music web player, but there is no option to change the audio quality to lossless. Then... Source: about 1 year ago

All I can suggest is the sometimes-maligned-for-community-reasons Cider, which is an Electron based application - Apple have never made Apple Music APIs work on macOS, so the only option is to hack around with JavaScript and the web APIs (yes, you read that right - there is no native developer interface on macOS for Apple Music; that's how much Tim Cook doesn't give a fuck about Macs).
