  • Husband got company car with new job- what to do with our personal cars?
Resale values on 4runners are absurd right now, that car may be worth quite a bit more than the MDX depending on condition and options. It could easily net them enough to pay off the MDX and have money left over. Looking on cars.com the 4Runner should be in the mid to low $20k range, the MDX would be in the mid to high $20k range. If her car is the MDX and she's more comfortable driving it vs the 4Runner, it makes... Source: 5 months ago
  • How much did you pay for you van?
2013 Ford E350 extended body passenger van with the 6.8 V10 engine. Just under 60K miles when I bought this last Spring for $26K. I had a few search sites I was using - I think I found this on cars.com?? I was very specifically looking for this model van with less than 100K miles and with this engine. They're not that common and I found it for sale in Missouri. Source: 5 months ago
  • Need a 2 Month Vehicle in the US - Turo or Buy & Sell a Used Car?
I went on cars.com and looked for New & Used for under $4k. Seeing some cars from actual dealers, a few of which seem too good to be true? Thanks again for all the effort you've given in helping! Source: 5 months ago
  • Scale of 1-10 how fucked
Every good thing in life is fleeting. But there are plenty of NBs on cars .com right now in the $7k-$12k range which are likely to be in the same or maybe even better shape than the one you had. Source: 5 months ago
  • How do I find best incentive programs that are regionally based? Trying to "stack" as many promos as possible.
Go to a website with dealer ads, for example cars.com and sort by lowest price. Source: 5 months ago
  • Hyundai Ioniq 5 Is Our Electric Vehicle Best Buy of 2024 - Kelley Blue Book
The Ioniq 5 seems a little expensive until you actually look at real pricing. Use cars.com and search a 250 miles radius around your address. I can find plenty of Ioniq 5's for 10-12K under MSRP making it extremely competitive with Model 3 pricing especially given that Tesla's tax credit being reduced in 2024. Source: 5 months ago
  • Tips when owning a Bolt?
Btw I'm also getting their warrantee from the dealership which covers the battery for any issues...i know about the recall and on the cars.com site they have the battery report and state it was manufactured in june 2020 and that the battery still has 8 years of the warranty remaining or 82k miles left. • Kia Sportage - cost above MSRP ?
We are going to look at car buying service, Costco, and a online, cars.com, etc. Source: 5 months ago
  • Safari sluggish with more complex websites
Don't know if "complex" is the right word but Safari is significantly more sluggish and unresponsive on websites such as cars.com or https://www.bestplaces.net compared to Brave or even Firefox -- especially after some use. Source: 6 months ago
  • Which model year to buy? 2016-2018
I would look at changes by year on cars.com and see if any of the changes mean anything to your needs. Source: 9 months ago
  • Can you recommend a website builder/platform for my specific use-case? (Automotive). Greatly appreciate your time and insight.
Lastly (and this one isnt as important, but would be great to have and perhaps has an effect on what builder/platform I should or should not use), I would like a page/tab where I can list pre-owned inventory and allow customers to sort by parameters (make, model, mileage, etc - think cars.com). I will not be selling anything directly on the site or collecting any money from it. Source: 10 months ago
  • Car purchasing rates and financing advice (help?)
With this pretext out of the way, I have been constantly browsing kbb.com, carvana.com and cars.com to understand what fair pricing and good interest would be on a car I would like to purchase. I understand that sites like these also charge a premium so that they can make profit on the deal and finance over a dealership. And for that reason, I will still probably be purchasing from a dealership. If I am incorrect... Source: 10 months ago
  • How to Buy a Car
My initial search lead me to Caravana which looks like they have the best prices based after comparing them to other sites such as cars.com, Edmunds, carman, etc. But I see they will ship the car to you. I've also looked into craigslist, Facebook marketplace, etc but I'm paranoid I may be buying lemons. Source: 10 months ago
  • 2015 i3 good to 100k miles?
Assuming your question's serious, you can find plenty of cheap ICE cars used that have an even bigger engine than .6 liter, will take you many hundreds of miles between fillups, and cruise along at 95+mph. Try cars.com, carmax, carvana for starters. Source: 10 months ago
  • Buying car
Are you looking for a new or used vehicle? Try autotempest.com and narrow down the distance from your home to see the deals on specific used vehicles. The great thing about this site is it takes results from ebay, cars.com, truecar, carvana, and more. Good luck. Source: 10 months ago
  • Are used car prices still overly inflated ?
In addition to just looking up the KBB value look on the used car advertising sites (cars.com, autotrader, Carfax and others and see if you can find similar cars in terms of model, age and mileage and what those are being advertised for. Source: 10 months ago
  • i8 wheels on the i3
Went to cars.com and searched 2016-2020 i3 cars with 20K to 70K miles on them. Then looked for cars with free Carfax or Autocheck history reports and scanned the right column looking for tire replacement events. A small number replaced tires at just over 20K and a larger number, the majority, replaced tires at just over 40K. Source: 10 months ago
  • I love the look and feel of the IONIQ 5, but does it really lose this much value, this quick?!?
Well, of course. But comparing apples to apples, the prices in OP's image from cars.com and the local dealer are both pre-tax. Since it wasn't part of the original post, I wasn't adding it in to only one of the two listings, since that'd muddy the waters. :-). Source: 10 months ago
  • Is it realistic to negotiate $1.4k off a car?
No, you use your brain... Search cars.com and look for an Avalon with similar miles... I just did a search and found at least four within my area that has ~50,000 miles for less than $20,000. Source: 10 months ago
  • Prospective buyer: 2023 MX-5 Miata RF
Cars.com, autotrader.com, truecar.com, craigslist, etc. Search nationwide. Be willing to fly and drive or have the car shipped. Source: 10 months ago
  • Volkswagen is to cut electric car production at one of its biggest factories
Don't let those bxxxxxxs xxxx with U. Go on cars.com and find inventory, call them and discuss everything on the phone, then have him send you an email spelling out the deal. Anyone refusing to do this gets a Fxxx You before you hang up on them, this is how you keep sane. Also remember that some nice ones will turn nasty on D-Day when their financial guy will try to slap 15 "protection" packages and extended... Source: 10 months ago
