After making a bit of research and calculating my deals with comparis.ch I have found some insurance for ~2.2/2.4k per year. But I'm scared I could be in a bad situation in case of an accident. Does anyone has used some of those insurances : Zurich Insurance / Smile Insurance / Elvia Insurance ? And if yes what's your opinion about them ? Source: 7 months ago
P.S : comparis.ch says TeleKing is the CHEAPEST possible at my location - please tell me how is Teleking in reliability and customer services ! Source: 9 months ago
As y'all already know, it is obligatory to have an insurance provider in order to obtain your license plate. Before picking one, I checked for the most competitive ones and the top result on comparis.ch was "Smile". I was familiar with their ads recently around Bahnhof and wanted to give them a chance. This company apparently doesn't have an office and tries to make you handle everything online. It also does not... Source: 12 months ago
How could I also pay under chf 400 for the health insurance? I m 25..and on comparis.ch the cheapest is chf 420. Source: about 1 year ago
Housing is tricky in Zug. If you want to live in the Kanton be prepared to spend a lot for an apartment. Just have a look what available on comparis.ch. Source: about 1 year ago
It was 2016. I just checked, salary was 85k. Taxes are quite low at that point, I had a net of around 75k. Apartment was approx 28k per year (I imagine it would be hard to find something at 2.4k per month now, but keep in mind that it was not in the city center). For health insurance you can get a quote via comparis.ch. Source: about 1 year ago
900 CHF is way too much the insurance business is full of scammers. The basic one (no casco included should be around 250-300 CHF, for foreigners a bit more, depending of your citizenship. Use comparis.ch or similar to compare the different companies. Generali doesn't charge foreigners additionally and usually the prices are competitive. Check comparis and you'll get a good deal. For an 8 years old car, I would't... Source: over 1 year ago
Hi everyone. I'll move to Zurich from Portugal on January 2023. I already have a job and a signed rental agreement. Could anyone tell me the most important stuff I need to take care of in the first month, how I do it, and the costs of it? I know that I need to have health insurance. But how much time do I have before buying it? What is the best website to look for comparisons? Is it comparis.ch? How much can I... Source: over 1 year ago
For equity investments I use Interactive Brokers (referral link - you'll get free IBKR stock). Interactive Brokers still allows investments in US ETFs and US ETFs still have the lowest expense ratios comparatively. Degiro is a better choice if your planned investments are below 100k CHF. There are limited Swiss domiciled ETFs that you could also invest in. 7. In general you can use comparis.ch to shop around for... Source: over 1 year ago

*This may be worth looking into regardless, hit up comparis.ch and check the options available to you. You don't have to have your KVG and VVG with the same provider. Source: over 1 year ago

Did you use comparis.ch to calculate your tax saving? I'm pretty you can find a decent soul for that each year. Source: over 1 year ago
In basic health insurance all of this is included. You can basically check out basic health insurances on comparis.ch - they all offer the same, but I'd suggest you choose one where you don't have to pay first and they'll reimburse you, because that could be quite costly for those checkups. Then you just look for an oncologist close to where you are, and give them your old files (as well as your radiologic... Source: over 1 year ago

Don't worry too much about the lack of German, most people will speak English (maybe not in smaller towns, but you can pick up a few expressions by that time). Have a look at comparis.ch - your health insurance, and tax will be different based on the city you choose to live in. Source: almost 2 years ago
I recently found out about the calculator at comparis.ch: https://en.comparis.ch/steuern/steuervergleich/default. It seems like a pretty neat tool which calculates a sum of all the taxes you're going to pay, and you can even compare all cities in a canton. Source: almost 2 years ago
The housing market in Lausanne is tight, not as bad as Zurich and Geneva, but nevertheless it can be difficult to find the right place. Most openigs are advertised online on homegate.ch or comparis.ch. Most ads go through rental agencies (and they will require proof of employment, proof of resident permit, etc) so it's easier to get those after you move here. Source: almost 2 years ago
