Candy Box 2 -- there is more to this than meets the eye: https://candybox2.github.io/. Source: 11 months ago
Looking as an outsider you will see a bunch of weird-ass ASCII art that doesn't even look that good compared to, say, Candy Box, while as the actual player you're actually wrestling an eldritch beast made of deadly gas into the ground as you pulp it with a dead giant's body. Source: over 1 year ago
Not really like the games you mentioned but Candy Box 2, A Dark Room, and Kittens Game are some of the best browser-based idle games ever. Source: over 1 year ago
Not Candy Box or Candy Box 2, was it? Dubious guess but it does keep coming up. Source: over 1 year ago
I appreciate anyone suggesting CC Classic, but since I'd expect a JS Console minigame to be text-based, then maybe it should be more like Candybox2 (https://candybox2.github.io/ which if I'm not mistaken was part of the inspriation for CC!). Source: over 1 year ago
Here, I will contribute something: Candy Box 2 is an idle game. I know, I know, but this one is different. Try it. You'll like it. Source: over 1 year ago

The Candy Box 2 is the GOAT. I'm pretty sure it still works, even on mobile. Source: over 1 year ago
I would love to see more games like Candy Box 1 and 2. Source: over 1 year ago
My goal : Create a multiplayer menu-based management game. The game would be about managing a shop, and players would be in competition against one-another over simple IA-controlled, randomly generated costumers, to bring profit to their shop. For now, I am thinking of doing the game over menus, similar to games like die2nite or Fallen London. Games like A Dark Room, Candy Box 1 and 2, or even Cookie Clicker can... I'd suggest looking at Candy Box 2 (candy box 1 is also available, but you can't save), or A Dark Room. I've been 'playing' Leaf Blower Revolution on steam. Source: almost 2 years ago
Why is it frame of https://candybox2.github.io/? It seems like you put iframe to put on your ads. Source: about 2 years ago
Looking for games with a tree-style, such as The Primoridrial Tree. Any suggestions? The Primoridrial Tree is fun, but pretty grindey and slow after quarks, so I'm just looking for something to entertain me while I wait. Also looking for games like Candy Box 1, Candy Box 2, and A Dark Room. Or maybe a survival game, such as "Sister Location Mature Version" (Yes, this was a joke from Scott, but it was so fun to... If you don't care about graphics (which, a lot of the most fun idle games IMO are text based, so I personally don't) then Candy Box 2 is very fun. Source: about 2 years ago
/r/AdviceAnimals used to have a link to a little ASCII art of a guy holding a piece of candy over his head. It was a link to a game called Candy Box 2, and there's a lot more to it than it initially seems. Source: over 2 years ago
A Dark Room and Candy Box 2 are excellent too in how they start very simple and progressively unveil new mechanics. Source: over 2 years ago
Candy Box 2 or Candy Box (they're very similar), maybe? Source: over 2 years ago
For ones that are short and have an end: A Dark Room, Crank, Candy Box 2. Source: over 2 years ago
Make no mistake, I'm not whining about the leveling being slow. I'm whining about the leveling being slow while providing no story to follow and a button that plays the game for you. What's the point of leaving the game on for 20 hours before completing a quest and then coming back to another quest that requires you to AFK for even more hours? Again, I'm familiar with AFK games and the culture around them. Aden is... Source: over 2 years ago
Do ya know the game candybox2? Well here it is I….love this game. So much. It’s so different then basically any game I’ve played since. Love the humor and jokes, love how confused I was the first time I played it. I know there’s games kind of like it but I wish there were more. More that would just rip this off and maybe have a space theme. A dark room is a fun game, it’s not this but it’s a good replacement.... Source: over 2 years ago
