  • Adding Animated Wallpapers to my Personal Website / Desktop Environment
Also last week while inspired by animated wallpapers I decided I wanted to revisit some features I wanted to add to my Winamp player, powered by Webamp. Specially I wanted to add streaming support and then get Milkdrop working which is powered by Butterchurn. It is easy enough to add Butterchurn as there are already instructions on their repository on how to do that. But what I wanted was an even lazier version of... - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
  • Ohhh snapper doodlezzz...
What's up all my four-to-the-floor whores?! Today I present my newest mix video, "Craziest Hardstyle Kicks Part 7" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3_5_r94mWI&t=35s As usual it took a LONG time to put together and I'm looking forward to hearing your reactions! I tried using a new visual program called Butterchurn found here: https://butterchurnviz.com/ and I think it turned out pretty darn spanktacular. Enjoy the... Source: about 2 years ago

  • Could stare at this for literal hours (Winamp 2.72 Geiss v2)
Good news, here's a version of Milkdrop 2 that runs in your browser. You can run songs through it, or turn on mic-input and set your microphone near a speaker. (Or you can set up stereo mix, if you know what that is.) https://butterchurnviz.com/. Source: over 2 years ago
  • What ever happened to dope music visualizations? I miss OG Winamp.
Https://butterchurnviz.com/ for the lazy. Seriously, it's the best milkdrop visualizer I've ever seen, written in WebGL too and it's performant. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • First solo roll today, wish me luck!

  • Drum & Bass on Volca Bass & Circuit Tracks
I got the Novation Circuit Tracks recently, and paired it with my Korg Volca Bass. This is my attempt at a few Drum and Bass type tracks. I recorded myself playing the set live (see this on the bottom right kind of transparently) and used Butterchurn visualizer (https://butterchurnviz.com/) as the backdrop. Enjoy! • Imaginando "Visual Synthesizer" create visuals that react to your music and MIDI (€49.50 | €10.99/Mobile) until 12 June
I have been looking for something like this, but even the discounted price is a bit steep (~$60 USD). There are some free open-source frameworks to do this... I really liked Milkdrop back in the day, but haven't found a great MacOS port yet. Most of the Milkdrop ports I found run in a browser window, so the performance isn't great. Does anyone have a favorite open-source or low-cost alternate? Source: almost 3 years ago
  • I don't know if this is strictly "home automation" but I feel like it's close enough that you guys might know a possible answer for me. I'm looking for a low powered, constantly outputting trippy visualizer...

  • Is there a Logic plugin of any kind to create audiograms?
Don't know of any plugin, but you can use https://butterchurnviz.com/ without downloading anything, it can respond to microphone input and if you really want you could probably reroute your audio using blackhole. Source: about 3 years ago
