Also check out places online to sell books like https://bookscouter.com/ . You type in the isbn and they give you the price they'll buy it at and send you a shipping label. Often they won't buy it or its cents but worth a shot for well known books at least. Source: 12 months ago

Not local, but you can use https://bookscouter.com to find a website that will buy books from you. It’s pretty simple to use and once you reach a certain dollar threshold, the sites will pay for shipping. You don’t make much, but the books should find a good home. Source: about 1 year ago

There's a price comparison website/app called Bookscouter that will search dozens of book buyback sites at once which is convenient. (Notably, the Strand is not among the sites Bookscouter searches; the Strand doesn't do online book buyback. Go figure...) Still, the online book buyback folks can be a good starting point. I didn't know until today that Barnes & Noble has a buyback program, and they were offering comparable quotes to other companies found through aggregators like bookscouter.com. I'm curious if anyone here has sold books to B&N before, and what your... Source: over 1 year ago

  • On The Disposal of Old Textbooks or, Do Tools Have Intrinsic Value?
I've done my diligence. I went through the three green tubberwear containers of them (there are were some newer C, UNIX, and DOS books, too), getting each ISBN, and checking to see if anybody would be willing to buy them back on https://bookscouter.com/.
