(Notably, the Strand is not among the sites Bookscouter searches; the Strand doesn't do online book buyback. Go figure...) Still, the online book buyback folks can be a good starting point.   I've been looking into how to liquidate hundreds of mostly non-fiction music related books for my mother, and I'm aware of all the standard recommended methods.   I've done my diligence. I went through the three green tubberwear containers of them (there are were some newer C, UNIX, and DOS books, too), getting each ISBN, and checking to see if anybody would be willing to buy them back on https://bookscouter.com/. The answer was basically "No." The highest price any of them fetched was $2.28 on a site with a minimum order of $15, and only around 15 of the ~100 books fetched... Source: over 3 years ago
