  Stainless Steel is generally pretty low-quality when it comes to body jewelry. Implant Grade Titanium is the material you want it to be made out of. Amazon isn't great to order from since there's no way to confirm it's the material you want. You can buy implant grade titanium jewelry from piercing shops or websites like bodyartforms.com.   When I went from 0g/8mm to 00g/9mm I just ordered a pair of titanium screw back plugs off of amazon. It worked for me at the time, but if I was to do it again I would get some single-flair glass plugs from bodyartforms.com . They aren't too pricey and they honestly have some of the prettiest glass plugs (imo) that I've seen. Just make sure that you see the 9mm before buying, since 9mm, 9.5mm, and 10mm are all...   Bodyartforms has some options for 7g I’d try this before using the taping method. I found some single-flared glass plugs there when searching for 7g jewelry under the search filter 😊 I always have people make sure to check your current wearable area and compare with what your buying online as well.
