BlueTally helps you never lose track of an item again, and gets you in full control of your assets.
Always know the where and who of your most important assets. Our powerful asset management software helps you stay organized and manage everything from pianos to phones.
«Where is this?» Get an overview of where your assets are, and how many assets are at a location.
«Who has this?» Find which employee that has the asset you're looking for, and who had it beforehand.
«How many are left?» Easily see how many assets are ready for checkout, out for repair or currently in use.
And speaking about Bluetally, which is a necessary part of my workflow because it literally helps me keep track of all our assets across multiple projects. It's been especially invaluable in managing my team's IT assets as we transition into remote work. It allows us to view our current inventory numbers and easily identify which items need replacing or upgrading. Not only does this help reduce costs by utilizing... Source: over 1 year ago
BlueTally is my second choice due to its user-friendly interface and simplicity. What I love about this are all the integrations (like Intune, Jamf, Kandji, Jira, ++) and how easy it looks to setup. It's also much cheaper than NinjaOne. But there's a tiny hiccup - no mobile app, which is kind of annoying if I want to check in on the go. Source: over 1 year ago
Check out BlueTally, it's fully cloud based, super user friendly to setup and use, integrates with Intune, Jamf, Kandji, Azure AD, Okta, Jira (+++) and automatically pulls warranty info for Dell and Lenovo devices! Source: over 1 year ago
It’s nice to see Bluetally mentioned because it is a decent tool, especially as a cloud-based asset management tool. We use it at my workplace and I got that recommendation from a thread I saw actually. Going in, we weren’t sure what to expect and at the time, they needed to work on some updates but I will say that it was easy to introduce. It’s fully cloud-based so it only took us a few minutes to get started and... Source: almost 2 years ago
I use BlueTally, you can check that out. There’s an online demo you can try. You can also customize kits for bulk checkouts if you have regulars that you supply to and they pretty much order the same thing all the time which is also very helpful and now you can let external vendors into your BlueTally account so they can see what assets they’ve supplied. Right now, I narrowed it down to Bluetally. I think it’ll be quite easy to introduce to the team as most of the users are non-technical people and anything more complicated might be rejected by my boss. But it looks like it works well too, we get to see when a device is checked out, and to who. It gets very busy where I work so that could help that it’s automated to keep a lid on things. We recently switched to BlueTally and I know they have integrations with both Intune and Azure (we don’t use this). It’s insane how well you can customize fields and categories of how things are grouped. Plus, it integrates well with Intune and teams so you can set it up to receive notifications when an asset is checked out/in automatically. Source: about 2 years ago
I think Spiceworks is a bit outdated so you can scratch that off the list. We used it where I worked and it wasn't able to keep up for long. We use Bluetally now though, it does a great job and it's cloud-based if you're not trying to self-host (which can be a pain to try to introduce to your team). Plus you can set it up to receive notifications on slack or teams- whichever you use- when an asset is due to be... Source: about 2 years ago
Thanks for sharing, this is the one I've been using and it works great too. Source: about 2 years ago
BlueTally has a feature that integrates with Intune since you’ll be transitioning from whichever one you’re using so you can just check out whatever employee device to their assigned user automatically. Plus you can set up notifications for slack or teams when assets are due or warranties are expiring. Source: about 2 years ago
I use BlueTally. It isn't exactly open-source, it's more cloud-based but it does the job. It's very easy to adapt to and there's not a lot of setting up to do. They have a free version which I used when I just switched from excel but now I use the unlimited version, just so I can track more assets. And please, get rid of excel already, it's too much work involved in keeping up. Source: about 2 years ago
Sounds like a problem that BlueTally can solve, it's been really helpful these past few months. It's great for asset tracking and active monitoring of your equipment, keeps track of audits and maintenance plus it's pretty easy to use and introduce to your team members. I could also recommend EZofficeinventory, it worked very well for the short time we used it before we switched. Source: about 2 years ago
Also, since you asked for recommendations, I’ve been using BlueTally and it is a great tool. It does have an integration with Intune too so you can auto-add devices to it. Plus, you can set it up to also receive notifications from slack. I like it because it just works. We were using the unlimited plan since you can add unlimited assets to it but we upgraded to the business plan so we could have access to their... Source: over 2 years ago
I’m going to need a software to track these stuff and I know that if I’m going to invest in software, I’ll need one that I can attach pictures to or something. So I don’t make this mistake again. A pal’s son came by, he’s into IT and all of that and suggested Asset Panda and BlueTally. If you’ve come across or used any of these or maybe another tool, please let me know. Also, software that reads tags/barcodes... Source: over 2 years ago
The senior sysadmin came across BlueTally and EZofficeinventory and wants to introduce them, well one of them. He’s a bit of an old head like I said earlier, and he wants something that can print and read barcodes so he can just plop that on the device upon input and just record who gets what and be on his way. Well so far, I would say BlueTally helps us to be thorough. We can group our devices into categories and set a minimum number of items we have in the office so we can order if something’s gone bad or needs to be fixed. Also tracking who has an item or its history is fairly simple because it also lets us know when an item is due back if it hasn’t been returned, which happens a lot. Source: over 2 years ago
I’ve come across a couple of resources: SnipeIT which is open-source, BlueTally, which is more aligned to our budget, and Spiceworks which is free but I’ve only looked at them cursorily. Source: over 2 years ago
I think BlueTally could work great for you, it's fully cloud based, super user friendly to setup and use, has features like AD/Okta Integrations, SCIM and an API - and it's only $19/mo for unlimited assets! Source: over 2 years ago
Hey! I'm one of the founders of BlueTally (https://bluetallyapp.com), which is a cloud based asset management system - please check out our live demo and let me know if you think it could work for you! (and if anything important to you is missing). Source: over 2 years ago
