At a high level, my advice would be to have some deliverable that demonstrates complexity outside someone reviewing the code (which will, of course, be posted to github). The deliverable could be the software itself, although that leans heavily towards something browser/app based, or a paper/website describing your results (e.g. here's a paper from a 15-year-old proving the game Baba Is You is Turing-complete).
