Not local but https://awesomecoffeeclub.com has great coffee. All profit go to charity and the beans are sustainably sourced. Source: 11 months ago
Awesome Coffee Club would like to have a word with you (all coffee comes from communities working to fight against deforestation, they pay their farmers higher than market rates, and all profits go towards reducing maternal and infant mortality in the country of Sierra Leone. To top it off, it's run by John and Hank Green). Source: 12 months ago
Not from Houston but I love the Awesome Coffee Club subscription. Delicious and all proceeds go to fund the building of a maternal health hospital in Sierra Leone that'll also be an educational hospital. Source: about 1 year ago
If you want to, you can also join Awesome Coffee Club (100% of the profits go to charity, the coffee is sustainable and ethically sourced and is actually pretty good!). Source: about 1 year ago
May I recommend a coffee subscription where the profits go to support Partners in Health in making sustainable investments in health care in impoverished communities? Check out the Awesome Coffee Club: https://awesomecoffeeclub.com/. Source: about 1 year ago
Also before you ask I DO get freshly roasted beans to use for espresso and I'm currently waiting on some from the Awesome Coffee Club! :). Source: over 1 year ago
Anyway, thank you for the warm welcome, but I am not Mr. Green or any other human individual. I am a coffee company that donates all its profit to charity to help build, maintain, and staff a more robust healthcare system to support maternal and child health in Sierra Leone. Source: over 1 year ago
If anyone is interested in supporting a YouTuber coffee brand that has more transparency in its attempts for sustainability and charity, the Awesome Coffee Club by John and Hank Green is a good option. 100% of profits go to charity. They have partnered with Partners in Health to build a hospital to help reduce maternal and child mortality in Sierra Leone. Source: over 1 year ago
Consider trying to buy coffee from a grower. The coffee industry is full of rent seekers. In particular, you can get great coffee from the kauai coffee company as well as support local ownership on the island (I have been getting my coffee from them for years). Their reserved coffees are quite good. These guys deal with growers in central\south America and are also about delivering a great product, but... Source: over 1 year ago
I can help with the coffee but I dunno about the rest. Source: over 1 year ago
Https://awesomecoffeeclub.com/ isn't the cheapest, but it's good coffee and Hank and John Green made sure to make ethical sourcing/roasting a priority when starting the company. A bit of the proceeds from each bag go to charity. Source: over 1 year ago
Here is theLink, if you're interested in them. Idk your preferences but they're more on the darker side of roast. Source: over 1 year ago
Second - Yes, tech, clothing, and food brands all have major issues. But RT's reach and viewcount is what is most important to the company. So I think you're comparing apples to oranges. It should also be pointed out that as more and more smaller companies are coming out with better options, as with coffee, things can change in that arena too. Source: over 1 year ago
Awesome Coffee Club started by brother's Hank & John Green. Source: over 1 year ago

It’s more expensive than the cheap crap but you can order coffee from this only store called the awesome coffee club and not only is the coffee good and eco friendly, the profits go the charity.awesome coffee. It could be entirely a coincidence, but as someone who follows both of them, it's strange that Crooked Media launched Crooked Coffee and the Green brothers (for the unaware: John/Hank Green - of Vlogbrothers, CrashCourse, SciShow, DFTBA/VidCon founders, authors of books like The Fault in Our Stars/Turtles All the Way Down and An Absolutely Remarkable Thing, and TikTok science dad fame) launched the Awesome Coffee... Also a fan! I also just subscribed to John and Hank Green's new Awesome Coffee Club today because my wife and I have been running out before the new box arrives. 100% goes to charity (I believe John's recent video said Partners in Health) https://awesomecoffeeclub.com/. Source: almost 2 years ago
