Long answer: this topic has been covered here many times, that Notion is just not a very advanced relational database. You can’t relate items from different databases unless you manually select a “relation” to another database (which requires the user to have permissions for that related database). There is not permissions trimming like there is in something like SharePoint, for example. I know they partnered... Source: about 1 year ago
Sounds like it will come super handy for you! I'm not sure how I will use it for my time management with Toggl. Still, looks amazing. I think this is automate.io in action. Source: over 1 year ago
But to answer your question regarding automate.io. Recently Notion has released alot of native integration for Github sync, Dropbox and Recurring Tasks (which is worked on by the team from automate.io). Source: over 1 year ago
What happened to automate.io acquisition ? Is notion launching automation or not ? Source: over 1 year ago
Hey there! I am looking to automate some stuff with Notion and IFTTT (prev. Done with automate.io - which retired as of 31.10.). As I saw in the documentation there are only a few properties taken from Notion. And there is still a lot missing (e.g. Database properties for new pages in a database). Did anybody find a workaround for creating Google Calendar Events with Notion and IFTTT? Is there a roadmap for the... Source: over 1 year ago
You can with make.com (are looking into zapier and automate.io could aswell). The Make setup is just a little... Either hard to understand for me og a little flakey on getting the data. I'm really looking to get an automated one click solution. Otherwise I thinks it's easier to just do it manually. Source: over 1 year ago
If you could use the software to automate/create flows for any program that would be phenomenal. Maybe there's a workaround with Zapier or automate.io? If so what would be the best 'input' program to enter data I want to change, I was thinking google forms but it's not made to purpose. Source: over 1 year ago
Unfortunately that gets into automations which Notion hasn't yet rolled out (hopefully any day now with automate.io). To autoset relations I usually set a filter so when I make new line items it auto populates if that helps. Source: over 1 year ago
Thanks for the advice! I wanted to use n8n because you don't have to pay a monthly subscription and, if I get better at it, I pretty much understand how to create complex workflows! I already tried to use zapier, automate.io, notion automation and others, but everything is a monthly subscription... Source: over 1 year ago
Now automate.io is sunsetting. They've been telling me this for months but I have procrastinated. They are offering a free year with Zapier but that's a bit expensive for me once the year is up; I'd prefer to set up something that has a chance of lasting longer. Source: over 1 year ago
Not natively. You will need intermediate automation services such as automate.io or zapier.com. Source: over 1 year ago
I use automate.io to integrate notion with my google calendar and it was anounced to be retired by october. Source: over 1 year ago
I just read that automate.io got acquired by notion and will be closed down in October. Source: over 1 year ago
Some decent integrations (which will hopefully happen when they implement the automate.io stuff). Source: over 1 year ago
Not yet, but the automate.io acquisition did lead to the features like database sync with GitHub and Jira so it's very likely we'll see something similar happen with Cron :). Source: over 1 year ago
Does anyone know how to export data from Apple Health into a Notion database without using automate.io? I have Health Export App but not sure where to begin... 😅. Source: over 1 year ago
P.S. Coming from automate.io which is shutting down so not our first rodeo. Source: almost 2 years ago
Since they also offer 12 month package to move from automate.io to zapier, I hope by then notion will already change rapidly with automate tools. Source: almost 2 years ago
Or you could also try some IFTTT alternatives like Zapier.com, Make.com or automate.io. Source: almost 2 years ago
Thomas: Notion has an API. So depending on your level of knowledge and your ability to use things like Zapier, Automate.io, or your coding knowledge, there is a lot you can do. Source: almost 2 years ago
There are many of these, such as Zapier, Automate.io, Make, Appypie, Integrately, SyncSpider, LeadsBridge, and those are the ones I know about. - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
