Give it a look. That app deserves to live.   I always use Automagic (a different and easier-to-use automation app, free from automagic4android.com), thus my uncertainty about this, along with the fact that my only Android 12 device is a tablet, not a phone.   I'm using Automagic to view, search and change the system settings. MacroDroid can change them but not search. Tasker can probably do this too, but it is a royal pain in the arse to learn and to use. If you want to try Automagic, it's free from automagic4android.com.   Oh yeah, I forgot that. In that case...I would get Automagic (free from automagic4android.com) and make a "flow" (it's flowchart-based automation) with "System setting changed" as the trigger, and have it watch Global > auto-time. When it changes to "1", have the flow set it back to "0" automatically, and hopefully the change will happen before the time zone update occurs. If not, you can at least have it give you...
