I had a pair of Rapha bibs do this once, after I did a 200km ride. This happens because the dirt flies up on your seat and basically acts as sandpaper when you are moving on the seat while peddling. Ass saver wont keep your behind dry (rain still falls), but it’ll prevent the dirt from coming up on the seat. Ass saver. Source: about 1 year ago

Ass-Savers is another option (though they ship from Sweden) they also have some cool designs. I'm waiting on a set from them now to use as DIY mudflaps. Source: over 1 year ago

Ass Savers are a good go to for those that don’t need them often. I usually cut up a piece of sealed cardboard to put back there. Source: over 1 year ago

If you‘re going with classic style full fenders like this https://velo-orange.com/collections/fenders regularly swapping them only is an option for masochists. This is sth I alternate between bikes but it’s more like a better-than-nothing option https://ass-savers.com. Source: over 2 years ago

Yeah, it definitely depends on your tire size. If you get a longer fender with a mudflap, that will reduce spray the best - something like an Ass Saver is mainly to keep mud off your back. Source: about 3 years ago
