I'm not sure how much value making something "not fugly" really matters. Design should be based on functionality, not anti-fugliness. In my experience, design considerations should come after building a successful growth "feedback loop." (Or whatever you want to call it.) At that point, you may decide making your website look "polished" isn't even necessary. IMDB was certainly quite ugly for a long time.... - Source: Hacker News / 25 days ago
On Archive Of Our Own , the theme for International Fanworks Day 2021 was fandoms/relationships that aren't well represented on the site. Based on an idea I'd had going back to 1992, I picked Mariah Carey and wrote this story. There are only 11 stories/works) about or involving Mariah on the site. Hell, she's been around 33 years and her first name still gets the red squiggle under it, meaning her name... Source: 5 months ago
It's the top-10 romantic relationships written about BG3 characters on AO3, the largest fanfiction website on the internet. Source: 5 months ago
For those not in the know, AO3 (the ArchiveOfOurOwn) is the largest (I think?) fanfiction website on the internet. Its interests are pretty different! ;). Source: 5 months ago
Elysian Fields is the place for Spuffy fanfic! I recommend doing an Advanced Search - you can search for and sort by word count, likes, etc. (similar to Archive of Our Own, also a place with Spuffy fics but not quite as user-friendly as EF). Source: 5 months ago
Well, my first favourite is one called "Five Years" and it's on https://archiveofourown.org/, the next 3 are all on https://m.fanfiction.net/. The first one on FF is called " Of Playgrounds and Parenthoods, the 2nd is called " Bold billionaire" and the last one is called " Silver Lining". They are all great but my personal favourtite is Of Playgrounds and Parenthoods. I totally recommend that you read them! Source: 5 months ago
I don't think that should stop you from writing fanfic, though I'm not really sure reddit's the best place to post fanfics. Reddit's mostly about discussing the game, most people go to AO3 ( https://archiveofourown.org/ ) to get their fanfic fix, so it's going to be easier to find readers and other writers who are into reading and writing fanfic on there. Who knows, there's probably other people who have the same... Source: 5 months ago
Https://archiveofourown.org/ has your back for pretty much any fic you'd need or want! Source: 5 months ago
Last Goodbyes by Derivakat (It’s a Passerine Fanfiction Song ⚠️DONT LISTEN TO IT UNLESS YOU READ!! If you hadn’t then go read it, it’s on AO3 Website the author is Bluejamas.⚠️). Source: 7 months ago
There are a ton of us D&D authors over on Archive of Our Own. There are other sites, but that's the one I use. Source: 8 months ago
I don't know if it's just me, but strangely if I click on a link in a story and or a link to a specific tag I manage to access the site, on the other hand if I go to the address main: https://archiveofourown.org/. Source: 10 months ago
For all of you affected by thing ban, onward to the fanfiction portals! https://archiveofourown.org/. Source: 10 months ago
Just wanted to come back and say I think this is the solution- there is so much good stuff on that site!! https://archiveofourown.org. Source: 10 months ago

In my experience, fanfic is much better for smut than traditionally published fiction. I recommend looking up fic for the series you've already read on https://archiveofourown.org/. Source: 11 months ago
Simple twist of fate. I just finished it because it’s pretty long with over 160,00 words but it is explicit. It’s one of my favorite reads, and I would definitely read it again when I have more time so I don’t have to break it up as much. Draco was sent to Azkaban for a year and was supposed to go back to Hermione but he ran away. Hermione said that she sent her parents to Australia to get away, so Draco went... Source: 11 months ago
Fan fiction of your favorite television or movie also works. Lots of it out on the internet. https://fanfiction.net or https://archiveofourown.org/. Source: 11 months ago
Not an exact answer but Archive of Our Own has categories for Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Ironsworn and so on. You'll find some fanfic of official stuff like Drizzt doing whatever, but you'll also find lots of solely original stuff and people character backstories. You can also search both Original Work and one of those categorizes to narrow it down more. Source: 11 months ago
I'm thinking of how hard it is to write a full novel manuscript (70-100k words!) and I wonder why anyone would wish to do this completely for free (and sometimes under a random username). It took me 6 months of continued effort to finish my first draft (and yet there are some seriously incredible works published on sites like AO3 and fanfiction.net. Source: 11 months ago
Can you please post this on AO3 so it can be immortalized forever. Source: 11 months ago
Most viable/popular other than ff.net is without a doubt archiveofourown.org (there's also Wattpad, but I would not recommend that). Source: 11 months ago
