When it comes to software what do you use and can you go a little bit into detail on how to use it

Stellarium PixInsight N.I.N.A.
  1. Stellarium is a free open source planetarium for your computer.

Stellarium - Planning out targets and just seeing what's up in the sky on any given night.

  2. A powerful deep sky stacking application for astrophotography.
PixInsight - Stacking and image processing. It's pricey but really the best processing software out there for deep sky pics imo (DeepSkyStacker / Siril / GIMP are commonly used free alternatives).

  3. NINA is a night time imaging and astronomy software.
NINA - controls my entire rig and run my capture sequence (also interfaces with PHD2 for autoguiding). In theory I just have to push one button and my scope should run all night taking pics of various objects. It's got a very active discord for troubleshooting, etc.
