Hey lot, I've been having serious issues over the past few months trying to find a place to rent. I've been messaging property management companies, calling them, sending them emails, using their own websites, and I've been using sources like rent.com and apartments.com but I've been getting ghosted pretty badly while reaching out to them using all of those resources. I've wasted some money recently on some apps, I haven't been outright denied or anything yet but I can't keep spending money on apartment applications just because the complex accepted a ton of them for a single unit. People just keep applying for units ahead of me. You can apply for an apartment the day it's posted and you still won't get it, it's nuts.
