Browse to https://ifconfig.me/ and confirm what your current public ISP address is Check the address looks something like this: 23.123.242.234 If it looks like this ( 2001:db8:1234:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff ) your ISP is assigning you an ipv6 address which might be an issue when connecting to the VPN If you have an IPV6 address have your husband reach out to his IT team and let them know. They might not allow IPV6 addresses to connect to the VPN or may need to enable this.

You will either see responses from the google.com test but possibly not from the test to your vpn server. Its ok if you dont this is still a useful test.
