I'm certainly no representative of the company, I'm merely an end user who started using it two days ago and noted its purported features to reference its statements. At least it pointed you in the right direction of the error so it's clearly understood and can be quickly corrected. The developers of the Perplexity app state that the program is still under development and rapidly iterating to fix bugs and improve output. I'm sure they'd be responsive to an email from you pointing out the flaw you found.
