For Youtube specifically, you have to download the videos manually with yt-dlp and then load them in a VR video player of your choice (DeoVR, SkyboxVR, Whirlgig, etc.). Which player will work will depend on the video and format. SkyboxVR used to work best for me, but others can work too. VirtualDesktop can do it too from what I understand.
