I think there is a lot of misrepresentation, which is kind of what a lot of people on the right are saying. A lot of that is because it makes money. For example, any day of the week, go to msnbc.com and ctrl-f/command-f "Trump". You likely won't get less than 7 or 8 results. Now do the same for abcnews.go.com, cbsnews.com, cnn.com, foxnews.com, nbcnews.com, thehill.com, npr.org. You might get 1, 2, maybe 3 usually. I do this several times a week and there is a pattern. msnbc's front page is always littered with stories about Trump. Every single day. Why? Because they learned rage over Trump sells! It doesn't help that the leftist media, much like fox news on the right, tends to distort the facts. A good example is the "fine people on both sides". They never include the bit where Trump publicly denounced the white supremacists. So yes, when you are constantly told, and shown out of context clips, that someone is racists - well... There you go. Some might dig deeper, but the masses just accept what they are fed.
