Helps groups of people with shared interests plan events and facilitates off line group meetings in various localities around the world.
Try to get that outside of work. Try to go to events on https://meetup.com , https://eventbrite.com , https://www.facebook.com/events (the Meetup mobile app gives you a map view with pins of all the nearby events, I highly recommend it). Maybe create or join a Facebook group or the Reddit group for the nearest city to you - they sometimes host in person Meetups. Maybe put yourself on all the dating apps where you can swipe right and chat with people for free like Tinder, Bumble, OkCupid, Hinge. Swipe right on those apps every day and try to chat with someone. Bumble has a sub-app called BumbleBFF which is for same sex platonic friendships. Craigslist got rid of its hookup/sex section but I think it still has a section for doing common activities with people (the section is hard to find - I had to really search for it). Sometimes your local paper or your local mayor or local government will post events. And if you're like me and you've done all of those things for years and years and you never get a long term sexual partner or long term close friend, you can just fucking kill yourself because there is no hope for you in life. But most people aren't like me. There's still hope for you. Go out there and try.
