Re: scaling, this is what we are dealing with:[https://imgur.com/a/KmaGYzV](https://imgur.com/a/KmaGYzV))When we hire engineers at [chess.com](http://chess.com), we focus on core values of kindness and excellence. Not everyone wants to work on chess, and not everyone has the skills to operate effectively at our scale. We’ve found that mission alignment is one of the most important traits we look for in a candidate because chess is difficult and requires dedication. Ultimately, if you can spend your days doing what you love surrounded by caring people that has a massive value. Our organization is focused on continuous improvement and investment in chess, our tech, and chess.com - while we did see that doubling traffic in a month stressed our servers, I would not say that indicates that we are inefficient because of who is on our team. In fact, our team is made up of the best engineers I have ever worked with.On a more industry note, I notice a lot of tech companies are inflating salaries in order to get competent talent into their team. You can see these folks announcing layoffs and impacting their teams negatively. I personally have found that salary is not equal to skill, and focusing on support, care, and enablement is what’s to create an extremely high functioning engineering org. We’ve built sustainably and have many engineers that are celebrating 10+ years with us. I do think our glassdoor speaks for itself: [Chess.com Glass Door](https://www.glassdoor.com/Overview/Working-at-Chess-com-EI_IE2241778.11,20.htm)).

I love that chess has so much interest and support, and as an OG of FICS, I fully respect lichess.org and everyone who plays chess there.

That would be cool, but chesscom might be worried about cheating in that case. As long as it's not super urgent, you could use openingtree.com and input the parameters you want to find out what they play.
