Like others have said, rental car rates are ludicrously high right now. I had to rent a car for two days last year and the rates were over $80 per day. You may try searching on a secondary travel site like kayak.com or hotwire.com for potential discounts. My general experience is that the rental counters at the airport charge higher rates than other locations (even for the same company), so you may want to switch where you pick up to a location closer to where you are staying.
