What specific mini-series? Plex doesn't use IMDb for it's main data, but The Movie Database and TheTVDB. If either of those list it as a show/mini-series, you can tell Plex where to pull the show data via Edit show > Advanced > Episode ordering (assuming you're using the Plex TV Series agent).
