Where do i get light novels from? Preferrably digital and is there a less expensive option?

Playbooks Kobo Books Amazon
  1. Sales Engagement
You typically buy them from the normal places that you'd buy digital books, such as kobo.com, amazon.com, the Google Play Store, or bn.com. There's also Bookwalker, which specifically sells books that originate in Japan (both in Japanese and in English), but their DRM can't currently be removed, so I wouldn't advise buying from them, whereas you can remove the DRM from the books bought at normal e-book stores. If you remove the DRM, then you have a copy of the book that you can read with pretty much whatever e-reader app or physical e-reader you want, whereas if you don't remove the DRM, you're stuck using whatever app, e-reader, or website is associated with the store, and if you ever lose access to your account (or the service you bought the book from goes away for any reason), then you lose access to all of the books that you bought.
