Bear is fantastic at what it does, but if you need any kind of rich text (especially color), it's not going to fit your needs. That's not to say you shouldn't try it, but I'd recommend looking at Craft (warning: block-based editing can be a PITA) and especially UpNote, which is somewhat similar to Evernote, but without the bloat.
