For an ABD PhD student, someone needed to have a talk about professionalism a while ago. I recognize there are people with learning disabilities, and people who are learning the language. Professionals who haven't mastered writing skills on their own yet still produce standard written grammar. They use grammarly.com, copy editors, or whatever it takes to get the job done.
